Over the past few years, the world and the church have been in times of radical change. It was prophesied by many that the year 2020 was going to be a new season of 2020 vision, change, etc. Well, it certainly was, but probably not in the way we envisioned. The core of the foundation of the church has been rocked by COVID, political unrest, war and so much more…which has driven the church to find new ways to minister and has caused the pause to plans as we hold on to what we know is true and precious. This book, based upon a sermon series by Dr. Stan, speaks to the changes we are facing and the things which matter most…to ensure we are anchored on the rock, which is Jesus, to help us hold on and continue to pursue God’s Kingdom purposes. The book will challenge the thinker to think, the actor to think before they act, and will provide hope in the never-failing God in which we serve.
Well, this book, like a few others that preceded it, began with a question. The question that I was pondering most deeply before entering 2021 was, when the storms of life come, will our anchor hold? Is our foundation strong? Good question. I have broken the question down into four parts (brilliant I know, there is only four messages I preached this year, so it makes sense). So, the four principles that will be explored are:
- A Firm Foundation: Our Theology…making sure we are believing what we need to believe and really believe it.

- In Your Right Mind: Live who you are, not who others think you should be or what your mama told you.
- His Kingdom come: His will be done…the end Game, which is not necessarily what we have been taught.
