How to Get Started
Every local church should see itself as a Kingdom embassy planted in their community to usher in the Kingdom of God among their neighbors as well as welcome in new believers. Any embassy in the world is known to be a picture of what the home country is like and how it operates. Therefore, churches should be a picture of the Kingdom reaching out to the world to preach and demonstrate the presence of the Kingdom as well as caring for all people no matter their needs.
In short, each local church should have a divinely inspired plan to reach the immediate community around the church building, whether residential and/or business. I believe the church influence should extend at least ½ mile in all directions from their location.
If each local church would follow the ½ mile rule, most of the nation would be evangelized and cared for by local congregations so that the Kingdom message and Kingdom work would be continually visible to the world around us. Every person is looking for help and each local church has very talented people who could meet immediate and long-term needs of their neighbors.
So how do you, the individual student begin? Over the totality of this course you will learn step by step how you can help in this Kingdom Project. It will require a great deal of study, but the rewards are eternal. Let us begin with your textbook.
